New Delhi: Mahila Congress criticizes Eshwarappa for distasteful remarks

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi (SP)

New Delhi, Sep 19: All India Mahila Congress has termed the remarks made by Karnataka minister for rural development and panchayat raj, K S Eshwarappa, as sexist, cruel, and anti minority. National general secretary of the party, Apsara Reddy, referred to the statement attributed to Eshwarappa in which he had termed Congress MLAs dependent on Muslim votes for their survival as showing a kind of eunuch (Hijra) behaviour.

She said that the above statement is also demeaning and disrespectful towards transgender community. She said that transgender community has shown courage to identify itself as having been belonging that particular community and they deserve to be accepted and given equality.

She noted that the remarks made by the minister have hurt a group of people and asked Eshwarappa to understand that courage comes from expression of self and sought unconditional apology from him for his above remarks.

Take a minute and think who are our leaders MP's and MLA's. Lets not go to think who is PM and who is opposition leader etc.,

Lets take Kundapura/Udupi till Putturu/Mangalore - MLA's MP's and our our political leaders.. How qualified they are to be our leaders. What is their capacities and capabilities what can we expect. I wonder Udupi / Mangalore people are good to get 1st and 2nd position in SSLC or PUC or after that we stop thinking?
