Mumbai: BSKB Association holds inter-school talent competitions ‘Youphoria’

Mumbai, Sep 18: BSKB Association Sion Gokula youth wing held interschool talent competitions Youphoria at Ashraya, Nerul on Sunday September 15. Youth wing convener Naryayanamurthy welcomed the gathering. Jahnavi Pothi and Bhargavi Pothi sang a prayer song. Youth wing president Haridas Bhat and office bearers lit the lamp and set the programme in motion.

Nearly 150 students from schools in Nerul, Chembur, Ghatkopar and nearby places took part in music, public speaking, quiz, creative writing and Janapada competitions. Prizes were distributed to the winners.

Vibrant Infotechs were presented first prize for best school sponsors, Infrastructure Finance Limited was presented second prize for being runner up sponsors. Subrahmanya Rao helped by being late Tara Rao Memorial third prize sponsor. Other sponsors were PMC Bank, Karnataka Bank and GRS Food Concepts.



The prize distribution was presided over by vice president Vaman Holla. Honorary secretary A P K Pothi, joint secretary Chitra Melmane, joint treasurer Kusum Srinivas, Subrahmanya Rao Bala, Ashraya convener Chandravati Rao on the dais distributed prizes.

Dr Sahana Pothi, Bharath Dambal, Dr Vimala, Jagadish Acharya, Saumya Upadhyaya and Archana Kolgde were the judges. Vaman Holla presented flower bouquets to the judges and sponsors and honored them.

Supriya Udupa, Krithi Chandaga, Guruprasad Bhat, Srilaxmi Udupa, Prashanth Rao, Prashanth Herle and Jahnavi Pothi compered the programme. APK Pothi and Pavitra Rao were the quiz masters. Narayanamurthy rendered the vote of thanks. The programme concluded after the National Anthem.
