Mangaluru: 34th batch for Homoeopathic course inaugurated at FMHMC

Mangaluru, Sep 17: The inaugural programme of the 34th batch of BHMS course was organised at the college auditorium on September 16.

The programme commenced by invoking the blessings of the Almighty with a meaningful prayer song. Fr Roshan Crasta, administrator, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, hospital and HPD, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest Fr Dionysius Vaz S J rector of St Aloysius College.

Fr Dionysius Vaz S J symbolically inaugurated the 34th batch of BHMS course by lighting a lamp accompanied by the dignitaries on the dais and student representatives from the 34th batch S Abhineshwan and Anna Johnson.



Fr Dionysius Vaz S J in his inaugural address congratulated the freshers for choosing this prestigious institution. He emphasised that intelligence and character are the true goals of education which are essential for the holistic development of a student. To convert dreams into reality one should think, learn, grow and get intellectually equipped to meet the challenges of the world.

Fr Richard Coelho, director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions presented a memento to Fr Dionysius Vaz S J.

Fr Richard Coelho inspired and enlightened the gathering with his presidential address by stating, "Homoeopathy is gaining momentum in India and the college for the past 22 year is imparting Homoeopathic education along with values to bring forth competent homoeopaths globally. The budding homoeopaths should be committed to respect human race and provide healthcare with humility to the needy."

Dr Shivaprasad K, principal, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College proposed the vote of thanks. The formal inaugural programme concluded with the institution anthem.

Thereafter, a parent-teacher students' meeting was organised. The freshers introduced themselves. Dr ESJ Prabhu Kiran, vice principal presented the academic report. Dr Shivaprasad K briefed about the rules and regulations of the college. Details of logging in and accessing the MIS (Management Information System) were explained and demonstrated by Dr Joseph Thomas.

The programme concluded after an interaction of the parents and freshers with mentors. Dr Jolly D’Mello compered the programme.
