Mangaluru: Man who entered airport terminal without authorization detained

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Sep 16: A person who had entered the airport terminal of the international airport at Bajpe here was taken into custody by the personnel in charge of airport security. The incident happened during the late night hours on Saturday, September 15.

The person concerned, Arif Kothikka, was going out of the terminal through the exit gate at around 11.45 pm on Saturday when the security staff stopped him to question him. They found that he had gained entry into the airport by showing to the people manning the gate a fabricated e-ticket pertaining to SpiceJet flight to Dubai that was to leave here at 12.45 am on Sunday. Arif confessed that he went in to see off four of his family members who were to fly to Dubai that day.

During the verification of his ticket, the security staff found out that he had illegally included his name in the e-ticket issued to the four members of his family.

For further investigation, the person was handed over to Bajpe police. Bajpe police have registered a case and are investigating.

Total failure of DIGITAL India ( e-ticket )and Adani Airport Management.

If we bring 2 bottles of liquor from Goa they police will catch us and ask on ebottle back, why can't they cat a person wile entering terminal?
even if it is e-ticket there should be system of Bar code or QR code which security agence can scan and check actually how many dozens of people travelling in one e-ticket .

If you really want to see off your family till the security counter , why dont you buy a ticket for it from the airport counter . Or else drop them off at the entrance , they wont get lost till they reach the checkin counter . Moreover they were 4 of them , to help each other . Foolish person I must say .

"... he had ILLEGALLY included his name in the e-ticket issued to the four members of his family." says the report.

    How is it illegal?

What law says that you cannot do it?

I don't think the intention of the person was bad in any way.

Such cases we have to proudly use our local language (kannada/tulu/konkani) while communicating with them, we should say we are not familiar with hindi and ask them to talk in our local language... No need to get panic or nervous with them....be confident ............

From where these guys get these ideas?
How he managed to create a fake e-ticket.
The police security at the entrance sees in and out of the passport and the ticket.
By their appearances only we can make out these security officers require training.
    What a security lapse.
Keep him for a month and the security personnel should be sent back to their original destinations.
