Mangalore, Jun 30:
A police team arrested two girls and three boys from a house in Gurunagar near Maryhill on Tuesday June 30. They have been charged with engaging in the flesh trade and making porn films using mobile cameras.

The initial information received from the police is that the boys were using the house of their friend for their illegal ventures. The girls were there during college hours for they had informed their families that they would be attending college during these times.

After the police, acting on a tip-off, entered the house, the girls pleaded their innocence. As the police also seized proof related to the goings-on in the house, all of them were arrested and taken to the police station.

One of the girls claimed that that she was pursuing a course in a private institute and was living with her mother as her father was employed in the Middle East.

The police have refused to disclose the names and other details of the youngsters as the matter is still under investigation.

A resident in the neighbourhood summoned the police after he noticed a steady stream of unfamiliar girls and boys visiting the house over the past year. He suspects that there are more than five youngsters involved in the incident.

Police in Mangalore rural police station have taken these five into custody and are probing the matter.

Please leave the innocent kids free. They must definitely be having some fun chatting together , taking group photographs and nothing more. In college campuses they are strictly forbidden doing these things. Hence they must have taken this opportunity for a get together and to have some sort of fun. Please do not exaggerate the situation. Dirty mind thinks dirty. Police must concentrate on more serious issues.

Prostituion is referred in all religious books and we can find them in Quran, vedas, gita, etc. No community or religion is free from this vice. Dont color it with communual brush. Sex is practiced and enjoyed by all followers of all religions, thats how we have mulitplied.

It is the duty of parents to imbibe good value and culture in children, so that when they grow up they will build a healthy community and nation. Though parents give freedom to children, they should also supervise them with eagle eyes, but sometimes even after parents discipline the children fall into wayward ways and they learn it the hard way. why, we Indians have to only imitate the bad and wrong of western culture. They also have so many good things like cleanliness, social security, literacy, sufficient food and shelter.

The culture of "materialism" is the root cause of the revolution in creating fast money, whether it is pushing drugs or pornography. Both the flesh trade and drugs were in the society from the very early stage of human civilization, but these evils of the society are getting widespread due to the modern inventions. If not checked, they are very dangerious to the society, for both the young and old. How some people can name these demeaning acts as "culture"? It is not a culture, but totally diabolical and destructive habits to create fast and easy money.

From the comments here we get to know how little some of the Mangalorean residents know about the traditions and culture of the land. Sitting in judgement of others is a fav pastime of most losers. I bet they lack self esteem and achievement. Most of all they are not free as they are bogged down by imaginary culture, values, Gods and what have you. Travelling around the world would be a good start for those who can and the rest is read books written by those who have travelled and experienced life to the fullest. The ocean is not only water, lots of life exists beneath only if you dare to explore. So also with people.

He was also disgusted with the culture that allowed human sacrifice to please Gods. He has changed the educational system because the ancient system allowed only Bhrahamins to learn according to Manusmrithi. We must be grateful to Lord McAulay for his innovation.

Some people who have not visited a pub even out of curiousity let alone drinking, built their imagination out of some old Hindi or Kannada movies that it is vice. For people who love to unwind in pubs it is a trendier version of a bar. Calling to ban pubs is like asking to ban multiplexes without banning cinemas itself. When all forms of reasonable healthy forms of entertainment is forbidden, the dangerous human mind will invent unhealthy ways of amusement.

Please mention ''pub culture'' for something not related to the subject. This is a very common phenomena which has been happening from time immemorial all over the world. Please remember that a criminal is just like rest of the people but for that he got caught. This is a daily happening even in the gulf in spite of strict rules and regulations. So whom to blame ?

People are too much in a hurry to blame western culture, pub culture and so on. This is a matter of values and how the children have been brought up and the external influences. Considering all the above it is better to refrain from expressing unwanted and irrelavent comments. There are authorities to deal with it and then finally it all depends on how honest or corrupt they are.

As someone said how many of these people abstain from watching porn! Matter of fact if the girls who were caught had invited them to have fun, how many of these accusers would have lead them to right path? Why don''t we remove the block from our own eyes before looking at the speck from our enemies eyes.

If these people are accused of a crime then let law and investigation take its course and then it''ll be for the Law to decide whether or not they are guilty.

India is the second most populous country in the world. We as Indians have earned this dubious distinction not because of Western influences or pub culture or bad parenting or similar reasons but rather because apparently Indians are no laggards in the unprotected sex department.

People who get involved in Porn will no doubt have a reason for it that makes perfectly good sense to them. I cannot see why such a big deal is being made about this. Seriously Mangalore/India has a lot more pressing problems than so many of us preaching on the moral issues raised by some teenagers entertaining themselves.

If Anamika thinks this case was not handled properly and justifies Rama Sena''s so called moral policing, there is something seriously wrong with his thinking

If going to pubs is bad and the cause for such incidents, is drinking illicit booze ok, is it ok to drink country booze and arrack. Do they make you a cultured person. Wanting goons beat up your sisters and daughters on the streets means that you have been unfit parents and have failed in your duties as parents.

If you discharge your duties and responsibilities at home towards your children, and teach them good values and spend more time with them, then such problems will not occur.

Many a times parents are busy with work and fail to concentrate on their children. I have seen this true with many parents who are working abroad and dont provide enough care to children. This is what it results into. Parents please wake up!!

Their face should be shown and history to be published. This is not done out of coersion, but purely for money and merry making. Both the girls and boys need to be punished for immoral activities. This is because of parents irresponsible attitude towards their wards.

Disgusting... Is it the carelessness of parents or is it the arrogancy of students, leading them to do hasty things?. i don''t think these students are from poor family. coz, most of the time in such cases wellofF students are involved..

Once again Mangalore is in news for bad example. Daiji team has taken lead role in reporting this incident while local news agencies printing for tommorrows circulation. Well done Daiji team. All those involved in this incident should be punished and remember not only those victims caught red handed but also those politicians and prestigious people responsible for this kind of act should be punished. We all know that this will be a talk of the town for a week and people forget it eventually like how the high profile issues of Dakshina Kannada district.
