Jaitley's health deteriorates: AIIMS sources


New Delhi, Aug 24 (IANS): Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's health deteriorated on Friday, AIIMS sources said.

The former Minister, who was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on August 9 after he complained of breathlessness and restlessness, underwent dialysis on Thursday.

BJP national Vice President Uma Bharti visited the AIIMS to enquire about his health.

Earlier, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, BJP veteran L.K. Advani, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Congress leaders Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Jyotiraditya Scindia were many leaders who had also visited AIIMS to enquire about Jaitley's condition.
