Mangaluru: Father Muller College of Nursing hosts flavourful 'Nutrition Day'

Mangaluru, Aug 23: The students of 1st year BSc Nursing ( 2018-19) batch on August 20 organized 'Nutrition Day' at Rajath Bhavan of Father Muller College of Nursing on the theme 'ISHRANA- Eat A Rainbow'.

The students were divided into 13 groups were allotted various topics on what to prepare food like medicinal value of food, 10 minutes easy breakfast, desserts, winter special, slimming diet, fruit punch, preservation of food, Atkins diet and Ketogenic diet.

The formal programme was inaugurated by Sr Jacintha D'Souza, principal and other dignitaries, followed by revealing the meaning of the theme 'Eat A Rainbow'.

The principal addressed the students and faculty and motivated them to eat different varieties of foods to maintain good health. The students presented their preparation and the group performance was evaluated by Benita, lecturer, Child Health Nursing, FMCON and Sandys, dietician, FMCI. Varieties of foods were displayed by the students and relished by all.
