Udupi: We should see God in children – Belle Gopalakrishna Samaga

Udupi, Aug 21: “Children are equal to God. We should see divinity in small children,” opined Karnataka Bank Udupi divisional assistant general manager Belle Gopalakrishna Samaga. He addressed the gathering after distributing prizes to winners at Krishna costumes competitions in Mahatobara Kodavoor Shankernarayana temple here.

“We can study lots of things from historical mythology. In this connection we should awaken the love of Krishna deity among children right from childhood,” he said. He congratulated temple administration for providing a suitable platform to express talents hidden among children.

The first, second and third prizes in Muddukrishna division were presented to Adya P Karkera, Tanish Devadiga and Rutvik Vinod. Prizes were won by Aradhya Salian, Parnika Acharya and Mahima Santhosh Kotian in the first Balakrishna division. Prathyush B Nayak, Krithi J Ameen and Gyan won respective prizes in Kishore Krishna division. Tanvi S Kanchan- Sohana Shanker, Pragathi Gauri-Shravya V Salian and Varali-Swasti were the winners in Radhakrishna division. Children were presented consolation prizes and certificates along with cash prizes. Useful Sudhama knapsack was presented to all the participants.



Geetam Girish and Amitanjali Kiran cooperated as judges. Temple administration committee president Prakash G Kodavoor welcomed everyone. Poornima Janardhan compered the programme. Anani Bhasker Bhat delivered an introduction. Convener Janardhan Kodavoor rendered the vote of thanks. Management committee members Raja Serigar, Baby Mendon and Baba K were present.
