Mangaluru: St Aloysius College NSS unit holds blood donation camp

Mangaluru, Aug 14: The National Service Scheme Unit of St Aloysius College in association with District Wenlock Hospital organised a blood donation camp on Saturday at the campus.

Dr Sharath Kumar Rao, medical officer, District Wenlock Hospital, in the city was chief guest of the programme.

Principal, Fr Dr Praveen Martis, SJ presided over the programme.

Dr Sharath Kumar Rao in his address said, “When someone donates around 350 ml of blood from his body about 350 ml of cholesterol and unwanted things should also be taken out.”



32 people including staff members donated blood.

NSS programme co-ordinators, Alwin D’Souza, Preema Victorian Tauro, director of Arrupe Block, Fr Pradeep Anthony, SJ and Fr Felix Victor, SJ were present for the programme.
