Mangaluru, Aug 12: The fourth series of Edu-Path, a career guidance programme, was held at Expert PU College campus, here on Sunday, August 11. Speaking at the event, Ankush N Nayak, a research scholar of NITK Suratkal and Director (IT) of Expert Group of Institutions, said “Engineers save people’s lives and therefore it is a good choice.” He further said that engineers solve problems of the society by using science and technology.

He explained nine major branches of engineering and how to choose those branches. He guided the students to have the skills to get into job marketing. He mentioned that college is the first criteria and branch is the second. He also spoke about the factors affecting the choice of profession and about campus recruitment. He advised the students to achieve academically because engineers get lot of time compared to medical students.

He also urged them to choose engineering because it opens up opportunities and one can enjoy job flexibility. His talk solved all the misconceptions of the students about the different branches of engineering offered by various colleges in India and abroad. He concluded by saying “love your work and live your life too.”

Later he answered queries of students and guided them to make right choices in their career.

Deepika A Nayak, Rajendra Nayak, Prof Ramachandra Bhat, the principal, Expert PU College, Kodialbail, Karunakar Balkur, coaching co-ordinator, and other teaching staff were present.
