Brahmavar: Pedestrian hit by car breathes his last

Brahmavar, Jul 24: In an accident which happened near Gobbarabettu, Kota, on Tuesday July 23, a pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a car moving on national highway 66.

The deceased has been identified as Prashanth (32) from Chitrapady near Kota. He used to work for a fishing boat. As fishing boats are not functional now, he worked as a coolie. He was waiting to cross the highway after the day's work, when a car that was moving towards Kundapur from the direction of Udupi rammed into him.

Prashanth, who suffered grievous injuries in the accident, was admitted into a hospital but treatments provided failed to save his life.
