Shivamogga, Jul 22: Three teenagers drowned in a pond in the district on Sunday June 21.
Two first PU students studying in a junior college at Sorab in the district, identified as Kartik (16) and Sharat (17) from Joladagudde village as well as Praveer (19),who works as a mason, drowned in the pond.
The three had come to Hosamatha pond in Joladagudde village for catching fish on Sunday morning. They did not know how to swim. After their friend, Abhishek, who was standing a little away shouted for help villagers rushed and jumped into the pond. But it was too late, as the three were no more.
