Owner of Saravana Bhavan chain of hotels Rajagopal dies

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi (MS)

New Delhi, Jul 18: Rajagopal (72), founder of the well-known chain of vegetarian, south Indian style hotels, Saravana Bhavan, who was sentenced for life for getting one of his employees murdered, died of cardiac arrest at Vijaya Hospital in the city of Chennai on Thursday, July 18.

Rajagopal had surrendered to the police after the Supreme Court rejected his appeal requesting for more time to go to the prison citing his health condition.

Kapil Sibal had argued in the court for Rajagopal and said that he is not well and should be excused from surrendering to the police immediately after the court order. However, justice Ramana had denied the request by Sibal and had questioned as to why his client did not bring this to the notice of the court while the hearing of the case was in progress.

The Supreme Court upheld the life sentence given to Rajagopal by the lower court in the month of March 2019 for the murder of Prince Santhakumar, an employee of his hotel. Rajagopal wanted to marry the wife of Santhakumar as per the directions of an astrologer, who said that he will prosper more if he marries the said lady.

I had a Tamil Vegetarian lunch at Saravana Bhavan, Salmiah Branch for the first time, which is located very near to ma residence.

I took a picture of the meal that was served on a round. cut Banana Leaf, placed inside a round Stainless Steel Thali, which is also a first time for me!!!

It's well decorated, clean and quiet dining place too.

My friend used to tell me about Saravana Bhavan since long time.

I regret to know, such a successful person had to lose his name and life by giving in to the advice of people with evil intentions.

This death looks similar to the death of millionaire Biscuit Raja who died shortly after his arrest some years ago. Millionaires , when arrested become easy target of extortionists both from the other prisoners and could be even from among jail authorities. Sad.... Was it a real heart attack or was it induced ? The truth will never come out.

    One is responsible for oneself...

Messages to Maria Julianna of Hungary – 17/18/28 April 2018

    17 April 2018

    ...
“Dear children! Understand that if you want to be saved, you must wait for your Lord as vigilant virgins. You cannot hide from Me. All your thoughts, words, actions have been recorded before you face Me. When Eve and Adam sinned, they hid themselves, but they did not know I had seen them. When Cain killed Abel, he also hid himself, but I saw and called him. Even those who live in sin try to hide from Me, but eventually they all come to light and give Me an account of their lives, because every person at the end of life has a separate judgment. They are not responsible for the mistakes of others, but are for their wrongdoings ― one is responsible for oneself ― and I will only judge his or her life and actions.”

“Those who take my doctrine and turn it to action will be very happy at the Great Warning, which won’t wait long for you. They will see the good things they have done and their good example of life.”

Supersaturated people are still exists in the world. Believing astrologer he killed one human to further gain prosperity? What he has taken now? One piece of white cloth? Justice is delayed, He died natural way. Should have enjoyed Indian prison life.

Get hold of that astrologer who couldn't predict the end and send him to the place which he deserves. Greed and arrogance of money power does not help always.

Worried about that astrologer and the similar astrologers who give advice of these kinds, which eventually results in the murder and killings.
Besides, a man with simple common sense would not have taken this advice and acted in a brutal way.
Now the two precious lives are lost leaving mental tortures to both the families.
Need better court of laws, justice dealyed is justice denied.
May God forgive the unforgivable crime committed by Mr. Rajagopal.
Also, give eternal rest to the soul of Prince Shantakumar, who was murdered by Rajagopal.
Let these incidents never occur in anyone's lives.

    RIP Mr. Rajagopal.

Fortunate that he did not die in custody. Saved a lot of hassles to police/legal dept.

A lesson to all arrogant rich barons. Money and power does not accompany us to grave/funeral pyre. We carry our humility as virtue.
