Mangaluru: St Agnes PU College Oratio club commences first session

Mangaluru, Jul 15: To sharpen public speaking skills and to build self confidence in students, the department of English, under the aegis of ‘Oratio Club’ conducted its first session on July 13 at the college audio visual room.

The session was conducted by Benzita Ferrao and Rithika Adiga. Rithika Adiga briefed the students on the role Toastmasters Club plays in enhancing public speaking skills.

Benzita Ferrao was the general speaker of the session and gave tips to the audience on making a favourable impression through right body language and tone. She conducted table topics to help students organize their thoughts quickly and respond to an impromptu topic.

Samah, Michelle and Jinu delivered the icebreaker speech. Vidhula and Lynn were the evaluators and Samreen was the timekeeper. Rishita compered the programme and Saifa rendered the vote of thanks.



The principal Sr Norine D'Souza AC and Sr Janet Sequeira AC, vice principal were also present on the occasion.
