When I look at the photographs I can make out why these things happen,like criminals escaping when being escorted by police. The police do not have the build or figure to be recruited for the duties. Let alone the equipment or training which is lacking in these modern days. Just see the new boat launched yesterday, the police are not dressed or equipped to travel in sea, they have to change their gear quickly or a bunch of school children will give them a slip. Nowadays why police are using excessive force to break up peaceful protests could be understood by anybody. Even in the time of British Gandhiji & others were treated rather with honour and kindness than present day protectors of law. I don''t blame them but they are acting with their political bosses specific instructions to do so. I wonder whether we arer living in a democracy or autocracy.

Dear Rajesh Barbi, I am the most unfortunate person that I do not have a son I would have been the happiest person to encourage my son to join NDF, if I had one. However I am a proud son to say that my father and two of my uncles served in the army of our nation and my father lost his two fingers. Hey why dont the Police give a bus or riskshaw money to these hooligans, ask them to go to court and come back. These cops give the handcuffs and the chains in the hands of the criminals and they themselves walk so freely. Instead of spening the tax payers money on such police men why not ask these criminals to go to court and come back themseleves. The Police seems to be having a lot of confidence on the criminals.

Rolphy almeida I respect you for your comment, You are paying tax not me and you definitely have the edge to question the government and the police. But blaming the police personal for everything they do is embarrassing. Think, would you send your son to save India to their border! At least, policemen are human being and are also from poor/rich families who are bread and butter for the members at home. Instead of blaming you need to support them, inspire them then you get paid back for your tax money. But I see people talk just because their interest wasn’t succeeded due to the police action in the past.

Regarding Dandupalya gang members ..I forgot to say very important thing in my earlier comment. All the gang members were arrested by police with great difficulty. But...their leader escaped from the jail !!! I don''t know whether he was caught again or not. I apologise Daiji & Kishor for mentioning native place of the dacoit as Harappanhalli instead of Hoskote..I have doubt about that.But attack on Ravi Belgere was at Harappanhalli (not by this criminals).For that self defence action Mr Ravi Belgere had to face very big problem.He was accused of firing at innocent man by D.K.Shivkumar (ex home minister).Finally after a very long court case Judge sentenced criminal 8 years jail punishment.

Dandupalya Gang is the most notorious Gang Karnataka has ever seen. They used to rape victims first, irrespective of their sex and age,and kill them by slashing thier throat.In one of the cases ,these ANIMALS ,even raped and killed Hijda (chakka) in Mysore.They were caught accidently in Harappana halli.Police Inspector and team were almost unconscious when one of them said "We raped and killed nearly 50 people " God knows why these notorious criminals are kept in jail instead of sending them to hell !!

Harappana halli is DACOITS main place. Editor of Hi Bangalore ,Mr Ravi Belagere was attacked by four criminals here only.Luckily Ravi Belagere fired and injured one of them with his license revolver.Recently criminal was awarded with 8 years imprisonment after a very long court case.
