Mangaluru: St Anns PU College celebrates Vanamahotsava

Mangaluru, Jul 8: In an earnest attempt to give a green touch to the college campus and sensitize the students on the role in conserving it, St Ann’s PU college celebrated Vanamahotsava on July 6 at the college auditorium.

The programme was conducted by the students of II HEBA and II HEPS. A beautiful backdrop was put up. The program began with a prayer service followed by a welcome dance.

A sapling was planted by the Principal Sr Mairlda AC to mark the occasion. A video presentation was shown to make the students aware of the need to preserve the environment by planting trees. A meaningful dance was performed by the students to celebrate the occasion. A short skit on the effects of deforestation and its impact on earth was presented followed by an entertainment dance.



The principal addressed the gathering stating the importance of planting trees. She encouraged the students to preserve trees which play a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance. The master of the ceremony was Suhaibathul Aslamiya and vote of thanks was proposed by Surayya.
