Dubai, May 26: The new election for the office bearers of DAIJI-DUBAI the most revered forum of Konkani writers in Dubai was held recently at Golden Talents Karama. The following have been unanimously elected to run the office for next 2 years:
Convener: Stan Ageira
Joint Convener: Robert Fernandes
Treasurer: Linus Moras
Stan Ageira
Stan Ageira is well known in the literature field of Konkani Literature for close to 35 years. He has written 17 novels and over 250 short stories. Some of his short stories have been translated into Kannada and English. He is well admired and appreciated by the readers. Robert Fernandes and Linus Moras
Robert Fernandes, a young, dynamic & brilliant poet from Udyavar has written poems in both Konkani & Kannada. The articulation of greater part of his poetry makes an effort at both sarcasm & pure humor.
Linus Moras from Kadri, the promoter of Golden Talents, a multi faceted talent school in Dubai has written short stories and articles in sports.
The above stated new flag bearer of Daiji Dubai have been actively involved with the forum right from inaugural year. A farewell program has been arranged to the outgoing convener Hemacharya at AL MASA in Bur Dubai on the 29th of May 2009.
