Udupi: Sunil Kabral Shirva elected district founder president of ICU

Udupi, Jun 27: Sunil Kabral Shirva has been elected as the founder president of Udupi district Indian Christian Union (ICU).

ICU has come into existence in the district of Udupi in order to resolve the issues faced by Christians and also to give information on the facilities that are given by the central and state governments to the Christian community.

The office of ICU is opened at the YMCA building near Jodu Rasthe of the city.

The first meeting of the organization was held in the office. Charles Amlar was elected as the secretary. Ronald Manohar Karkada as honorary president, Michael Ramesh D'Souza Mudarangadi as treasurer, Melwin D'Souza Shirva and Janet Barboza Mudarangadi as vice-presidents, Steevan Colaco Udyavar as joint secretary, Deon D'Souza Kalmady as public relations officer and Sheela Jatthanna Udupi as auditor were also elected.
