Kundapur: Public highlight grievances at meeting with town municipality members

Kundapur, Jun 26: Unhappiness over the mayhem caused due to the work of drainage work. Complaint of not getting proper power supply due to the negligence of the concerned department officers. Outrage against the disoriented stand of highway officials. Appeal for the disposal of 94C applications. Demand to repair the road that is in bad shape. Demand to resolve the issue of bus stand. Urge to add the contractors to blacklist. These and others issues were raised by the public in the meeting with the members of town municipality that was held at the Dr V S Acharya auditorium on Tuesday, June 25.

The members of the town municipality urged the concerned authorities to take suitable action on the issues raised by the public. The subdivision officer, who responded to the grievances said that the pits dug for the road work will be filled soon. He also said that instructions are given to carry out the work in the night as it is causing disruption for riders and pedestrians during day time.

The meeting was presided by Dr S S Madhukeshwar, sub divisional officer. Chief officer of town municipality Gopalkrishna Shetty, Vasanty Sarang, Abbu Ahmed, Prabhakar, Santhosh Shetty, Ashwini Pradeep, Girish, Shekhar, Kamala, Sandeep Kharvi, Prabhavati Shetty and Keshav Bhat were present.
