Bengaluru: Congress pressurized to form coalition govt in state - Deve Gowda

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jun 20: Former Prime Minister and chief of JD(S),H D Deve Gowda said that he was not interested in forming the coalition government and it is done only due to the pressure from the Congress party.

He gave this statement in the city on Thursday, June 20.

Deve Gowda was speaking after a section of media said that coordination committee chairman Siddaramaiah has proposed with the Congress high command to break the alliance with JD (S).

It is learnt that Siddaramaiah has given a negative impression about the alliance with JD(S) to the party high command on Wednesday and said that this tie up is harming the Congress party. He has reportedly asked the party top leadership to withdraw the support to the coalition government led by chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.

In his statement, Deve Gowda said, "I will not comment anything on the media reports. But I would like to clear that the image of the coalition will not be harmed by JD(S) leaders. We will not give any such statements that will affect the coalition and we are trying to make sure that there is no issue in running the government. I will concentrate on strengthening my party,"

Deve Gowda also said that he did not discuss the political scenario in the state with Rahul Gandhi, when the former met him in Delhi a few days ago. But Deve Gowda confirmed that he has suggested Rahul Gandhi to ask the state leaders of Congress to refrain from giving any statements in public about the coalition government, which may give a bad image of the coalition.

No one can stop you from forming your own govt. You as an elder citizen of India, should have given the reins to an able party to rule state rather than forming Ghatbhandan mode of operation. There will not be any development in the state and the current ruling party in the state is wasting the energy and time of people of Karnataka. No point in blaming anyone from Chediless congress, but you are solely responsible for the pathetic state in Karnataka.
    Jai Hind.

    What a scheming politician !
Knows very well Hublot Sidda is pulling the rug from under his CM son.
Tried his best to prempt Sidda by filling in the ears of Sarfraz Ahmed alias RaGa. Knows very well Sarfraz all the time is not interested in his job and
keeps yawning. So he thought he could fill in the ears of Ahmed first.
However Hublot is smart and has given his observations to Sarfraz nee Rahul.
So Gowda like a seasoned actor acts like he does not care.
Sarfraz has been made to understand that hitting at ones own roots in an effort to harm the other has disastrous consequences.
    Let us see....

To run the govt numbers are enough
But for doing developmental work within Karnataka Govts prijects should reach people
How it will reach ? It will reach through MLAs
If only 37.MLAs of JDS representing Mysore Mandya region are getting actual developmental responsibility how the state can develop
Instead it would have been better Congress or BJP form govt and JDS support it .You didnt agreee for it
Now blame Congress what for ?
