All of them are being treated in Chinmayi Hospital Kundapur as inpatients.

The incident has sent shock waves through Kandlur village. The locals succeeded in driving away the dogs by hitting them with sticks and thus saving the children from serious danger.

Local taluk panchayat member Jyoti Putran, said that the menace of street dogs has increased since sometime and that 15 t0 20 packs of dogs are active in the area, and they turn monstrous in the evening. She has urged the local administration and the department concerned to regulate the street dogs and save the people from their attacks.

This street dog problem is man made. Some who love dogs or animals throw some food to them or waste food ,thrown on street is eaten by them.so when they dont get any food ,get wild and try to go behind people who carry some fish, food etc.Panchayat should see that stray dogs dont roam on street and take measure s that they dont fall on people or children.mostly street dogs love to attack children . Either these dogs should be taken to animal homes or make a short process with them.Best is dont let your dogs roam about ,or when you dont want your dog dont let it simply roam about.Think before you bring a dog home as pet,if you are in a stage to control ,or take care.many people let a female puppy out and menace is there.Afterall a dog cant be made responsible for letting on road by people.wish these victims get well soon.

God bless this woman! She put her own life at risk to rescue these children. Otherwise the children could have been mauled. She should be nominated for the Bravery awards. Hope all of them recover quickly and no long term damage to nerves and muscles.

Only domesticated dogs should be kept in home kill all these street dogs which are dangerous for human lives.. These dogs often attack people who ride two wheelers and small kids returning alone from schools.

Only hungry dogs attack human beings or any other living being. Dogs will never attack if their stomach is full . They will sleep in one corner .This is my experience.

Dogs are very important creatures in India. Though they kill and injure many they are safe.

If man do this he will be in jail by now.

NO steps taken by the govt in this regard

It's nothing but due to people who throw food items on streets which turn menance to all. Cleanliness is a must to avoid any conflict. We wont agree for our mistake. Government should place dust bins in all the places..but none in exists.

No sense or connection to this, Should actually catch all these dogs and take to dog shelter or vet to check , if they got some kinda disease then treat as dogs are friendly .
