Mangaluru: Students of SIT build 'Agricultural Multipurpose Vehicle Machine'

Mangaluru, Jun 20: The students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, have created an Agricultural Multipurpose Vehicle Machine.

The project comprised of, Chirag Rai, Dhanush, Dyamappa, and Eshwar all belong to the batch of 2019-2020. This project has been developed under the guidance of professor, Satyaprakash Anekallu.

The machine includes different features and is built in an innovative manner. The 70cc engine powered machine has the ability to simultaneously cultivate and be used as an insect spray. It can also be used to transport farm products.

The estimated cost of this machine is Rs 25,000.

The project has been appreciated by Dr Thomas Pinto, HOD, Mechanical Engineering. The principal, Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, C A A Raghavendra Rao, president of A Shama Rao Foundation and chancellor of Srinivas university and Dr Shrinivasa Rao, vice president of A Shama Rao Foundation and pro-chancellor of Srinivas University have congratulated the students.
