His father Meghnad Kambale, 60, who returned home at around 10.30 pm, was irked by this sight. He asked Sandesh to switch off the television. After Sandesh refused to obey, Meghnad got involved in a verbal altercation with his son. Thereafter, he repeatedly warned his son to either switch off the television or face consequence thereof.

As Sandesh continued to defy his instructions, Meghnad turned livid, rushed to the kitchen, brought out a knife and stabbed his son in the chest.
