Mangaluru: Muslims to form organization to curb illegal trafficking of cows

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Jun 18: Muslims organizations have come forward to put an end to the illegal transportation of cows in the coastal region. They have decided to form a new organization in order to prevent the illegal cow trafficking business.

So far only Hindu organizations were protesting against the illegal cow trafficking in the coastal region. However, now the Muslim organizations have also made a move in that direction. An organization in the name of 'Akrama Gow Sagata Samrakshana Samiti' is going to be formed soon. The youth wing of state Muslim League will take the leadership of the said organization.

The newly formed committee will begin its work in the Dakshina Kannada district, which has witnessed repeated antisocial incidents in the name of illegal cow trafficking. Later, depending on the necessity, it will spread its work to other districts of the state as well.

"The newly formed organization has plans of making the illegal cow traffickers understand the graveness of their act. If they do not budge, then they will be handed over to the police," said Siddique Talapady, leader of youth league. In addition, the committee will also urge the religious preachers to create awareness with regards to the illegal cow trafficking in all the mosques and Madrasas of the district.

Vote for any secular party in the next General Election. This current Right wing party is more of a dictatorship than Secular. When the top brasses don't condemn the crimes committed by the root level criminals, they are equally complacent in it.

20 out of 29 states in India currently have various laws regulating act of slaughtered cow, prohibiting the slaughter or sale of cows. Goa, Kerala, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and West Bengal are the states where there are no restrictions on cow slaughter.
What I am trying to say is What about Hindus staying in those states? Why there is No cow slaughter ban on those states?
Requesting the Central government to bring a blanket ban on cow slaughter across country including the slaughter of cows for export.

Christians and muslims will have no equal place even if they protect and worship cows...if cow is not a good symbol for hindutva chauvinism, BJP will make use of some other symbol...cow love / cow protection .. all these are political and social symbols, tools of majoritarian and status quo mentality of people who do not want to see masses moving forward without being servile to social and economic upper layers of society

Please do not compare Muslims and Christians in this case.
We have never heard of any communal tensions caused by cow slaughter or illegal cattle transport done by Christians till date. Christians and Hindus have always shared a peaceful coexistence.

We had a cow in my school and college days and we have all drank milk from that Cow .

We have sold many siblings of that cow and retained the mother cow.
Finally, we allowed that mother cow to die in our own cattle shed without selling and we have buried it in our own land as a respect to the mother cow.

Finally someone used their brain. Now the RSS thugs will be confused and this will affect them in 2 ways
    1) They cannot create communal incidents in the name of Cow protection
    2) They will stop getting their protection money from the Cow traffickers.

The Akrama Gow Sagata Samrakshana Samiti should figure out how to manage the Police as the Police also was getting part of the Protection Money.

The rise of the competitive religious organization is too dangerous to the secular identity of this nation.

As I said earlier, the cow is just emotive subject has little relevance to the majority community by Holy scriptures if read and understood. The real problem is the control $5 Billion industry in the past largely controlled by the Muslims and Dalits of this nation.

If there is an attachment tot he cows to religious with the majority community, then 'Beef exports' would not be made India largest exports in the world under the hardline leadership of PM Modi. The sheer silence of the Hindu religious leaders is an open declaration of the lucrative business.

I would once again ask read every one to read the book "The Myth Of the Holy Cow" authored by D.N Jha to clear the misconception of cow worship.

If any organization need to form it should be the interest of the welfare of the farmers, drought resistance breed, increasing the productivity of the diary and lastly non-productivity cattle for consumption.

I dont have any issues with the beef eaters, but stealing cows from poor farmers is unpardonable. So please don t support cow thiefs , illegal cow transporters and illegal cow slaughters. I believe current Govt can curb this issue other wise poor farmers are compel to pray to get Yogi type Chief Ministers who has successfully closed all ILLEGAL slaughter houses in UP. I appreciate the good move from muslim community that, they can educated their own people to stop doing haram of stealing and making people to eat haram meat( Dead cow).

Dear Vinay, you might be aware that in almost all issues cows are not stolen but legally purchased from the owner. However, these owners then inform illegal cow rakshaks about the transportation and then the buyer will be caught on the way. These illegal cow rakshaks are involved in these issues and they are well aware of this. They get commission from the seller and many times they take commission from the Buyer also and then leave it go. They make problem and inform Police only when the Buyer refuses to pay to these illegal cow rakshaks. There are many cases where these illegal cow rakshaks themselves transported cows to Gujrat which are slaughtered for meat export by sanghis/ Pandits owned slaughter houses. Why the Govt is not taking action and close beef export factories which are slaughtering thousands of cows on daily basis whereas Govt is after poor people who consume meat. Why there are two different rules (one for pandits/brahmins/sanghis and another for minorities/dalits/ObcS). The best solution to stop cow trafficking will be by declaring cow as national animal and closing beef exporting units especially in Gujarat. Let Govt open Go shala in every village to protect scattered cows. Let BJP leaders and volunteers take cows to their homes and feed. If they have so much love towards Cows they should respect it by feeding it and not by transporting to sanghis owned beef exporters in Gujarat. Can we expect law on this issue by Central Govt which has so sympathy on cows.

Every life has its own value ... don’t judge animals with humans in terms of life value..
All are same only thing different is we opt out to take gun/sword or knife to protect ourselves where as these animals don’t have that previlage to do so as god made them dependent on us humans , so when u consume milk from a cow at least try not to eat but protect them at least next time don’t compare ..
Maybe be in coming times who knows god has a different plan to take away our privileges and pass on those to animals who are now our dependent.
