Bengaluru: IMA Jewels scam - Home minister orders immediate arrest of Mansoor Khan

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 16: State home minister, M B Patil, who held a meeting with high level officials in the Vidhana Soudha on Saturday June 15, instructed them to ensure that IMA Jewels scam mastermind, Mansoor Khan, should be arrested at any cost at the earliest.

The minister discussed the nature of the scam, estimated amount of fraud, number of complaints, methods employed to detect the fraudster etc at the meeting. Speaking to media persons later, he said that the case has now been entrusted to Special Investigation Team (SIT), which has now been questioning directors of the above company. He said that the officials have been directed to seize assets of the accused in addition to arresting him.

Mansoor Khan

He said that forfeiture of properties does not fall under the police department, which can only look from the angle of fraud, and hence, the chief secretary has been suitably instructed to do the needful in association with other departments. He said that law would be modified suitably to give the police power to attach properties like in Tamil Nadu in such cases.

Global economic offender

There is likelihood of Mansoor being declared a global economic offender shortly. It is said that the central office of the Interpol in France is likely to issue red corner notice for Mansoor Khan, who has been lying low after cheating investors to the tune of thousands of crores of rupees. The state's criminal investigation department's interpol division has already issued red corner notice and sent the same to the home ministry at the centre for doing the needful, sources in the department said.

Raid

The SIT raided the properties of seven directors whom it has arrested on Saturday, and took into possession incriminating documents pertaining to their property and other details.

i know what Mansoor Khan has done is not pardonable. But what is the hurry? He has made a scam of just Rs 1200 which is pittance compared to the Modis, mallya and Niravs. What is being done for their arrest.

But we are still confident all the money will be given back to the investors as we have ?? as the superme commander of our coutnry.

Chatty, i dont think Nirav or Mallyas duped poor daily wage earners...no poor protesting against them in street, its either Banks or corporate finance houses lost money..look at IMA scam. .90% investors are poor from his own community...he duped them using Mullahs, fatwas....since 3-4 years red flags shown, still Govt didnt act, community leaders didnt alarmed poor investors..instead we can see community political leaders enjoying his hospitality, feeding food...as far as investor getting money back , its a dream only..when Amanath bank dint pay back, you think IMA will give back!!!

``Interest is HARAM in all religious books, please read your GEETA once again properly``

If interest in Haram, then ALL Islamic countries why do banks that take and give interest. Just to fool the masses they call interest `Fayda`` or profit, and they charge twice as much taking their `Full Fayda` well in advance.

If you say Interest is Haram in ALL religious books, then you have read ALL religious books. So please share your `knowledge`` with us and quote which books you are talking about and most importantly please inform us Chapter and Verse.
