Mangaluru: Expert College bags record ranks in CET, two students stand 2nd in state

Mangaluru, May 25: Once again, students of city's Expert PU College have excelled in Karnataka CET, the results of which were declared on Saturday May 25.

R Chinmay and Bhuvan B have secured the second rank in engineering and naturopathy sections respectively.

In the seven sections of CET, eight ranks have been secured by the students of Expert colleges in Kodialbail and Valachil. R Chinmay has secured the third rank in pharmacy, in the engineering section Samartha Mayya secured the 5th rank, Bhuvan B secured the 6th rank in naturopathy and yogic section, Sudesh Gowda secured the 5th rank in agriculture, Ashay Jain bagged the 7th rank in naturopathy and yogic science and Yash Bannur secured the 9th rank in agriculture section and 42nd rank in B Pharma.

In the seven sections Expert students have bagged the top 48 ranks. In the veterinary section Ashay Jain has secured the 12th rank. He has bagged the 14th rank in agriculture and 21st rank in B Pharma. Mahendra has scored the 15th rank in veterinary. Priyanka Pai has secured 16th rank in engineering and 41st rank in pharmacy. Ankit Vishal Pandit has bagged 16th rank in naturopathy and yogic science, 20th rank in agriculture and 27th rank in veterinary. Samarth Mayya has secured 17th rank in B Pharma. Atharva Pikle secured 19th rank in agriculture, 22nd rank in naturopathy and yogic sciences and 26th rank in veterinary science. Bhuvan secured 22nd rank in B Pharma, Prameeth S has bagged the 23rd rank in veterinary science, Sudhesh Gowda 23rd rank in engineering, Mahendra V 25th rank in B Pharma, Vidya Moudgalya B M 27th rank in agriculture, 36th rank in naturopathy and yogic, and 43rd rank in veterinary science. Joseph John has secured 32nd rank in B Pharma and 19th rank in veterinary science. In agriculture section, Aishwarya Bhat has secured 30th rank while Vaishanavi P bagged the 33rd rank. Vickson Steven D’Souza scored 36th rank in B Pharma and 17th rank in veterinary science and Prameeth S has bagged 40th rank in B Pharma. A Rahul has secured 50th rank in the engienering section.

Expert students have secured, in the seven sections, 88 of the top 100 ranks and 127 of the top 150, 156 of the top 200 and 213 of the top 300 ranks, thus creating a new history in securing ranks.

Addressing reporters, chairman Prof Narendra L Nayak and the vice-chairperson Dr Ushaprabha Nayak of Expert Group of Institutions said that this achievement is a result of the hard work by students and teachers. They added that the record result is a proud transmuting of the institution’s watch word ‘Shrama Eva Jayathe’ by students. "The students deserve all appreciation," they said.

The proud rank holders opined in one voice that they could achieve this feat thanks to the study conducive environment and the training for competitive exams in the college.

Mangaluru: CET result announced - Chinmay from Expert bags engineering second rank

Mangaluru, May 25: The result of common entrance test (CET) held by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), which decides the future of the candidates in engineering and medical fields, was announced on Saturday May 25.

The examination was held on April 29 and 30.

1, 94,311 students had appeared for the examination. Minister for higher education, G T Deve Gowda, published the result at the hall of KEA at Bengaluru.

Jafin Biju from Bengaluru has stood first in engineering department. Chinmay from Mangaluru has bagged the second spot, with Sai Saketika Chikuri getting the third spot.

Mahesh Anand from Bengaluru has gained first spot in naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, with the second spot going to Vasudev from Mysuru. Udit Mohan from Bengaluru is in the third place.

Keerthana M Arun has topped the list in BSc (agri) with the second and third spots going to Udit Mohan from Bengaluru and Sairam from Bengaluru respectively. In Pharmacy, Sai Saketika Chikuri is in the first place,with Jafin Biju from Bengaluru and R Chinmay getting second and third spots respectively.

R Chinmay, who has got second rank in engineering subjects, is a student of Expert College here. Samarth from the college has stood fifth in CET agricultural science. Bhuvan has got second rank in naturopathy and Yogic sciences. Akshay Jain has got seventh rank in naturopathy and Yogic sciences. Sudhesh Gowda has got seventh rank in agricultural sciences. Yogish Bannur has got ninth rank in agricultural science.

Chairman of Expert College, Narendra Nayak, said that the students of his college have done very well like in previous years in CET. He gave credit to hard work put in his students and total dedication for their success. "We at Expert College provide the right atmosphere at the college that is conducive to studies. Our intention is to help every student to perform to his full potential in competitive examinations. I congratulate the students, their parents, and the teaching staff for this stupendous performance," he added.
