Counting of votes begin for 14 seats in Assam


Guwahati, May 23 (IANS): Counting of votes for the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam started on Thursday morning in 51 centres across the state amid tight security, election officials said.

Assam Director General of Police Kuladhar Saikia said that elaborate arrangements were made to ensure no disturbance in the counting process and avoid any post counting violence.
