Kundapur: Vandalization of police station - Investigation continues

Kundapur, May 19: Investigation with regard to the incident of pelting stones at the police on duty as well as the police station at Kandlur near here by the people involved in illegal mining continued on Saturday, May 18 also.

Out of the 19 culprits who were involved in the act, four are arrested and three teams are formed to trace the remaining people.

Four check posts are opened at strategic points and suspicious vehicles are being thoroughly checked. Police are deployed at the sand extraction area as well as the market area of Kandlur.

Nine people, out of the 19 accused are noted rowdy sheeters. Six culprits had taken part in the assault on the deputy commissioner (DC) some time ago.
