Kundapur, May 15: A tragic head-on collision between a Tata Ace vehicle and a lorry took place near Neergadde, Ottinene, Shirur villagen NH 66 on Tuesday evening, May 14. The Tata Ace driver who was critically injured died on the way to the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Ulkooru resident V Sunil Poojary.

The Tata Ace vehicle was plying from Bhatkal to Byndoor. The lorry was approaching from Byndoor to Bhatkal. The front portions of both the vehicles were damaged in the impact.

Sunil Poojary sustained serious injuries to his head. Rowdal Mourya another person in Tata Ace vehicle is undergoing treatment for injuries in Kundapur hospital.

A case is registered at Byndoor police station.
