Udupi, Apr 29: The civil engineering department of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology held a daylong seminar on ‘design of suspension Foot Bridge’. Sakar consultancy founder Padmashree Dr Girish Bharadhwaj was the resource person.
He explained through examples how a country develops by the development of villages. He visited different bridges in the vicinity with the students and gave details on drawings, technology and skills.
Head of the department of civil engineering, Professor Shashikala presented a memento to the resource person and said that the seminar helped the students and lecturers to obtain additional knowledge on new subject and implementation of technology.
Principal Dr Katayya G S and heads of various departments were present. Professor Sharavari Holla compered the programme and thanked the guests.
