Udupi, Apr 23: Karnataka chief minister (CM), H D Kumaraswamy, who had come here to improve his health condition, suddenly cut short his Ayurveda treatment here and went back.

Giving reasons for his surprising decision, Kumaraswamy said that the incidents of bomb blasts in Sri Lanka have shattered him. "Since yesterday, these incidents have occupied my mind all the time. My close ones have died in these incidents. I had planned to get treated at Kaup for four days. I also wanted to stay here for five days for Ayurvedic treatment. But since yesterday, the pain relating to loss of my close ones has become unbearable. I have held discussions with the doctors. They have advised me to come again after the 27th of this month. I have postponed my treatment to attend to the call of my duty," he clarified.

After issuing statement to this affect, Kumaraswamy shortened his Panchakarma treatment to just two days and went back to Bengaluru.
