Kundapur: Teenage student jumps into well, ends life

Kundapur, Apr 23: Student, Shravya (17), resident of T T Road here, ended her life on the night of Sunday April 23 when other members of her family were asleep. She met a watery grave in the well of a neighbour.

Shravya was a second PU student of Sharada PU College, Basrur. She had scored well in the recent final examination. She remained at home most of the time. Sometimes, her anger shot up so much that she used to fight with her mother on trivial matters and did not heed to sane advice given by family members it is said.

Reportedly, she was going through mental depression since sometime. In a report filed at the police station here, Shravya's brother, Sharat, said that his sister committed suicide on account of mental depression. On this basis, a case of unnatural death stands registered at the town polcie station here.

    Very sad.When I read through the lines I could makeout it was not the mental depression she was going through as her brother said,but some a serious problem she was having and couldnt get out of it.was it some problem she had at home from her own people ,or some boys were troubling her ?or had assaulted her?Sad that her parents didnt take any interest to ask in a private moment.may her soul rest in peace.Police should now be active and make investigation.Any post martum was done?
