Byndoor, Apr 23: For Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency, polling is being held in the second phase of elections in the state on Tuesday April 23. Byndoor constituency, which is a part of Udupi district, falls under Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency.

Mustering work for the election was conducted at the government PU college here on Monday. Assistant returning officer, B K Kusumadhar, and Byndoor tahsildar, Basappa Poojary, guided the work.

This assembly constituency has 246 polling booths for which 1,088 polling staff and 246 assistants have been posted. 103 police inspectors led by three deputy superintendents of police, 33 police sub-inspectors and others will be in charge of security. 41 buses and vans will be carrying the polling staff and polling materials.

After the polling concludes, de-mustering also takes place at this college after which the machines will be sent to Shivamogga the same night.
