Mangaluru: Groom dies mysteriously within a week of marriage

Mangaluru, Apr 21: A groom was found dead within a week of his marriage under suspicious circumstances. This incident happened within the city limits.

Mikkad, a resident of Faisal Nagar, Bajal, Nanthoor, had entered wedded life on last Sunday. He went missing on Friday April 19. After widespread search for him was launched, his lifeless body was found lying by the side of River Netravati at Valachil here on the night of Saturday April 20.

 

The way in which he went missing and the finding of his mortal remains at a secluded spot have given rise to suspicions about his death. The mortal remains of Mikkad were taken to Wenlock Hospital here for postmortem procedure. A clear idea about the cause of death is expected to emerge once the postmortem report is received.

The deceased youngster had married a girl from Sajipa village at a mass marriage function organized on April 14 by SKSSF Samshul Ulema Action Committee. As of now, there is no inkling about the reasons behind his mysterious death.
