Kaup, Apr 21: After a scooty hit a barricade in a one-way traffic arrangement made at Uchila on national highway 66 during late night hours on Friday April 19, the rider of the two-wheeler lost his life.
The rider, identified as Shakit (24) from Kaipunjal, who suffered serious injuries, passed away sometime after the accident. Harshit, who was riding the pillion, suffered injuries in this accident.
The two friends had taken part in Mehndi programme arranged at Hejamady Kody and were returning home when tragedy struck. Although both the injured youngsters were taken to hospital immediately, Shakit's life could not be saved.
A case about the accident was registered in Padubidri police station.
