Haveri: Minister Zameer ridicules BJP leaders for seeking votes in Modi's name

Daijiworld Media Network - Haveri (SP)

Haveri, Apr 21: Minister, Zameer Ahmed Khan, taunted the BJP leaders for seeking votes from the people in the name of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

He was speaking to media persons here on Saturday April 20.

Zameer said that Modi's wife had disliked his face and therefore deserted him. Therefore, he said that the BJP candidates are turning themselves into a laughing stock by seeking votes by showing the face of Modi.

He advised BJP candidates to approach people duly clad in Burkhas if they do not want to show their own faces to the people. "Candidates are expected to seek votes on the basis of their own achievements. BJP candidates remained idle for five years and now they are begging for votes by showing faces of others to the people," he lampooned.

Reacting to this comment, former minster and legislator, Sriramulu, said that Zameer Ahmed Khan does not have knowledge of culture, decency and refinement. He felt that the minister was wrong in passing personal remarks against the Prime Minister. He added that the comment that Modi's wife left him because of his face shows the level of cultural bankruptcy of the minister.
