Jeddah: Saudi government dismisses cancellation of sisters' passports


Jeddah, Apr 20: The Saudi government on Friday refuted claims of denying passports to two sisters who fled away from their allegedly abusive family to Georgia.

The Saudi embassy on Twitter said that the passports of the sisters Wafa and Maha Al-Subaie who are now in Georgia are valid.

It also said that any accustion of their passports cancelled are false.

It is reported that Wafa and Maha Al-Subaie had applied for asylum in Georgia and are currently staying there.

It is reported that the sisters accused the Saudi government on social media of cancelling their passports.
