Kasargod: Hit by train, man dies - train services disrupted

Kasargod, Apr 19: Gangadharan (55) from Moovarikundu near Kanhangad South, who used to work as a mason, died near Nityananda Ashram in Kanhangad South after a train hit him on Thursday April 17.

His death on the tracks caused dealy in the movement of some trains bound for Mangaluru. The Cheruvathur - Mangaluru passenger train was stopped by its pilot after sighting the body of a man on the tracks. This caused delay in the movement of other trains on the route. Passengers were therefore stranded in railway stations on the route, waiting for these trains for sometime.
