Dh 5,000 fine for installing security cameras in UAE massage parlours

Daijiworld Media Network - Dubai

UAE, Apr 17: Municipalities in the UAE and Ministry of Climate Change and Environment recently issued a notice that mention no security cameras can be installed in massage parlours without approval.

Women massage centres who employ men and men’s parlours who employ women will also be fined an amount of Dh 5,000.

Emarat Al Youm reported that the guideline stressed the staff must be of the same sex as the customers. Unisex services must provide a separate entrance for men and women and different appointment timings.

Massage centres should also abstain from any advertisements that are against the country's customs, traditions and violate public modesty.

The guide also pointed out the need to maintain public hygiene by keeping the tools sanitised and stored in a closet. Clean towels must be provided and the massage bedsheets must be changed after every session.
