Mangaluru: ‘Dreamathon 2k19’, largest hackathon held at Sahyadri College

Mangaluru, Apr 16: Dreamathon 2k19, one of the largest 36-hour hackathon in Mangaluru was held on April 13 and 14 at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Adyar.

Dreamathon is an initiative by DreamSoft Innovations in collaboration with Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management to bring together like minded individuals with a passion for coding and technology and provide a platform for these individuals to display their skill-sets to companies on board.

The inaugural programme took place at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management on April 13. It was graced by the associate vice president of Operations at 99games, chief guest for the day, Anila Andrade, Kiran Sham, founder of DifferenTech Solutions, Pradeep Raj, operational manager at CEOL and Dr ManjappaSarathi, director of Research and Consultancy at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management. A floral welcome and a token of gratitude were handed over to the guests by the organisers.



The inaugural ceremony included lighting of the lamp by the guests alongside Sachin Ganesh, co-founder of DreamSoft Innovations followed by the dignitaries addressing the gathering on various topics like, Future of Game Development and expectations of employers that are hiring graduates, some initiatives taken up by New Age Incubation Network and Sahyadri were also discussed.

At the end of the inaugural ceremony the theme for both Gameathon and Hackathon were announced and the event was declared open.

The valedictory function of Dreamathon, an initiative by DSI in collaboration with NAIN, DTlabz and CEOL was held at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management on April 14.

Students from various colleges took part in the 30 hour Hackathon and Gameathon. Prince from My Road Runner and Akshay from Pixgrammer graced the occasion and shared their expertise and the importance of such events in Mangaluru with the students.
The winners of the various categories were announced and the cash prizes were handed over by the guests alongside Sachin Ganesh and Divya, co-founders of DSI.

About 'Dreamathon’

'Dreamathon 2k19' is a coding fest where students, professionals, start-ups and tech communities converge. Dreamathon comprises of diverse events – such as Hackathon, Gameathon, multiple Workshops, CodeHunt, and talks by professionals, encouraging the community to come up with innovative solutions. The event will witness a diverse mix of attendees like Students, Start-ups, Corporate and Freelancers. Moreover, at Dreamathon we are lucky to have around 9 Startups & Corporates from Mangaluru. Total prize is worth of 1,00,000 INR. The participants will be having a privilege to have a good networking with companies like CodeCraft, Robosoft and many more.
