Mangaluru: Motor bike hits electric pole - rider killed

Mangaluru, Apr 15: The rider of a motor bike was killed after his vehicle hit an electric pole. The incident happened near the Kolambe school in Kinnikambla here on Sunday April 14.

The deceased has been identified as Mahantesh (22), a native of Bagalkot district, currently residing at Kulshekar here.

Mahantesh was a migrant labourer who had come here from Bagalkot seeking work. He was working at Kulshekar as a coolie. At around 2 pm on Sunday, he was riding his motor bike from Kaikmba to Bajpe when he lost control over the vehicle and hit a roadside electric pole. He suffered serious injuries and lost his life.
