In Kuwait law is very strict for these types of cases the punishment is very bad.
God only can save him if he is innocent.

However this doesnt look like trucker himself took with. There are enough people who try to smuggle through innocent people who travel to another country..Many times here too many people were caught in their car ,or trucks who usually go to Turkey ,or some country park their car and go for lunch.when they come back find of their tyre was punctured..And when the owner dont have any garage or help nearby, some people come and volunteer them selves to do .Later when the person passes the customs or police catch him with drugs hidden in tyres or under his car ,he is in for a surprise and Police are not believing his story.God knows who is innocent and who not.same thing like in your luggage.Hope he will not get harsh punishment .Or he knowingly had taken with ?
