Udupi, Mar 9: Inhibitions were let lose and girls and boys together head banged their way through the Rock Band comeptitions. Undergraduate girls sashayed on the ramp with such finesse that they could have given professional models a run for their money. Temperatures were set soaring in the 53-year-old MIT Manipal campus which was packed at full capacity with students having fun.

The annual 'REVELS' student festival at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) created waves like it does every year. More than 80 colleges from across the country sent their teams for different events which included 'Business Plan', 'MIT Roadies 1.0', Dramatics, Dance, Face Painting, War of the DJs, Painting, RangoliRock Band challenge, Fashion Show and many others. The teams at the fashion show had themes, like 'Don't Drink and Drive', 'World Peace ', 'Youth Power' etc. From MIT Manipal alone around 5000 students participated in the events held at such a large scale at different venues from March 4 to March 7.

Though I am a middle aged man the photo clips have took my memory to my students days. Let our present generation have decide what they want and let nobody impose anything on them how they should act in thier campus

Hey Guys! Am from the '82 Mech batch and seeing the Revel's pics was an awesome experience! MIT has come a long way from the time I studied there 27 years ago! MIT rocked then and it rocks even better now! Rock On!  PS : Am going to use the pics to persuade my son to join MIT instead of heading for the US for his undergraduate studies!

It is really interesting to see the messages from conservative minority community encouraging this kind of entertainment programs. But they must also remember that "charity begins at home" . Are they ready to accept this kind of culture inclusive of their womenfolk?

Manipal is a great educationist's dream come true - Every Indian should be proud that International standards are applied here - in a fashion show you have to portray every culture - You will not see vulgar activities on the roads in Manipal & Udupi. Keep it up MIT
