Mangaluru Mar 26: "We feel that MP seat was vacant in the last 10 years and now Congress will fill it,” said MLC Ivan D Souza in city on Tuesday, March 26.

He was addressing the media. “During the filing of nomination by Mithun Rai, the crowd was more than we expected and we can feel the Mithun Rai wave in the district. If we come to power, we will make a separate Lok Sabha manifesto for the district and will introduce a scheme which will eradicate poverty in the country. As per the scheme we will provide Rs 6,000 every month and yearly up to Rs 72,000. BJP never fulfilled promises mentioned in their manifesto especially of crediting Rs 15 lac into the bank accounts of the poor,”



"We are a committed party. We will eradicate poverty in the district. We also give 33% reservation for women in central government jobs. It was impossible for the BJP government to fulfill the promises made in the manifesto during the year 2014. Prime Minister Modi is in confused state as in the year 2014, he said that a Chaiwals had become a Prime Minister, but now it has changed to Chowkidar,” he added.

"We have an inactive MP in the district. We feel that MP seat has been vacant in the last 10 years. The Congress party is going to fill it now. There is not a single footprint of Nalin Kumar Kateel in the last 10 years in the district,” Ivan D Souza said.

Speaking about Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar statement of referring Mithun Rai as Baccha meaning child, Ivan D Souza said," Baccha can achieve more than liars. Baccha can perform as he is a good leader and a youth icon. Even the BJP MLAs in the district are not experienced or superior,” Ivan concluded.

    We mangaluru people has to vote for our MP. We having nothing to do with PM. all our development has to be done by our MP. For now we have young dynamic candidate MITHUN RAI. Party is not important leader is important. We choose NALIN for 2 terms. Now its TIME TO CHANGE, CHANGE IS COMING.

    Whether it's Congress Supporter or BJP Supporter that doesn't matter... Here the issue is about Development, and the sitting MP Mr. Nalin Kumar has not done much for this Region... Though he was in Power...from 10 Long Years, he could have done Much more... but he was always busy blaming others... if you have taken the Responsibility, then you have to Perform... Or else what,s the use of being MP... People will definitely Question.
    And if we Question about this issue... Finally, BJP Supporters say that we are BJP Haters.

    All the Negative commenters here are anyways not voters of BJP. So we should not bother much about their frustration . What Nalin has done , what he has not done , the people who elected him and will still vote for him very well know . Desperate Dongis don't want to hear the fact about the status of Pumpwell flyover , as in for what situation it is stalled . Nalin in a recent interview has explained the Statusbof the same and it doesn't matter is some bunch of BJP haters are not buying it .

    There are websites citing performance of MP's. I have read that and Mr. Nalins performance is far above average. Many people have no clue what an MP's responsibility really is. You mix local issues which are responsibility of local and state leaders and blame it on MP and say what has he done for 10 years...Reg pumpwell congress is the culprit. But many people do not want to listen to the truth. NHAI has done far better in the last 5 years then anytime.Mr. Nithin Gadhkari's performance is great..

    Other than George Fernandes no one has contributed any thing to Mangalore.
    What is the contribution of Poojary/ O Fernandes/ Moily to Dk district.
