Mangaluru Mar 25: Sitting MP of Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency, Nalin Kumar Kateel filed his nomination for the 17th Lok Sabha elections on Monday, March 25.

Earlier, election office of the candidate was inaugurated at Bunts Hostel. Addressing supporters and party members, he said, “In the year 2009, for the first time I was elected as MP due to the blessing of voters. I continued as MP for the second term. I did best in my 10 years of power. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made some tremendous achievements in the last five years. When Dr Manmohan Singh was Prime Minister, only Rs 3,500 crore was released to the district, but when Modi was prime minister, Rs 16,520 crore was released to the district. Several development works including highways, airport and railways are undertaken. Voters will definitely bless me in the upcoming elections.”

Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar said, "We will face the forthcoming election with the agenda of Hindutva and development. Nalin Kumar Kateel is filing nomination for the third time. PM Modi has provided good administration in the last five years and our country has gained respect globally because of him. We have taken the pledge of making Modi the prime minister again. Election is not about complaints over pending work, but all about our country.

“PM Modi has taken some serious decisions and it would be necessary for us to make him the prime minister again to help him do the good work. Nalin Kumar Kateel has successfully performed his duties in the last five years. We have also witnessed the decisions taken by Modi. Even senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary had said that Modi will become prime minister again and Nalin will turn victorious.

“The opposition candidate had said that if he comes to power, he will control Bajrang Dal. But if BJP comes to power Bajrang Dal will be formed in every village. We will face the elections with development and Hindutva agenda this time,” he said.

MLA's Sanjeev Matandoor, Dr Bharath Y Shetty, Rajesh Naik, Vedavyas Kamath and others were present.

It is very clear statement made by BJP Politicians that they are not concentrated on development in their constituency. People of Mangalore... Udupi open your eyes!! I support Modi for his development but the tactics the BJP uses is way too worse than I thought. Our vote is precious my brother's and sisters. Vote the right person who will develop your city , Will represent us in parliament, Who will raise the voice representing the citizen . Don't be a fool. Development starts from small village. I don't why Politicians use religion. It feels too bad to read the news article . Below are the clear statement made by politicians where they have clearly stated indirectly.
Only on republic day we celebrate, we stay United and say all are equal. & why not now ? And vote by keeping in mind that we need development in our city/town/village?

I usually read comments and try to analyze what is the mentality of people. Some things which I would suggest:
    - Never support any party for FREE. They have lot of money for marketing, hence stop marketing for FREE.
    - Dont be a FOOL to vote based on religion. Both the parties have started using smart strategies
    THIS IS JUST A EXAMPLE
BJP never will go to endorse to a muslim or a christian house( THEY KNOW THAT THEIR AGENDA IS HINDUTVA)
CONGRESS also will never go to endorse to a muslim or a christian house( THEY ARE SO SURE OF GETTING MINORITY VOTES)
-Just analyse why these parties spend so much of money to come to power? FOR DEVELOPMENT OR SELF DEVELOPMENT?

    My Dear Hindu Friends!
Lets keep Hindutva in every Hindu Home - lets follow Hindutva in our every day life but lets not use
    Hindutva to destroy Hindustan!
Hindustan is much more important and valuable than petty street fights - let prove the value of Hindutva by setting good example - follow Gandhiji RULES - Let's light Hindutva fire in every home but when this fire is used on the street WE WILL SEE BACK-FIRE!
WE Hindus must set an example - we're going backwards and invite citizen's IRE BACKLASH - we're
going back to olden times - lets bring HINDUTVA to MODERN TIMES! Lets move ahead with the world
and be the Leaders and NOT THE JOKERS because of HINDUTVA!!!
    Jai Hind!

also in the name of subsidy no logic in Banking transaction extra burden for consumers to keep vigil/unnecessary stress to keep watch on subsidy Account. It is still close to Rs 700.

Now people must decide whom to choose. or let them pay more and have food. That will be their destiny. Destiny can't be changed unless people change.

If it was Nalin vs Modi I would choose Modi. The only time I would vote for Modi. you guys are true! Modi has done a better job than Nalin. I have known Mithun Rai very closely. He will definitely give us what we Mangaloreans have been missing in the parliament "A voice" a voice to be heard. It's just a suggestion and everyone has the right to choose your own candidate. Make sure you choose the right candidate. Vote for anyone but not Nalin. 2 terms we gave him a chance and he failed miserably. Btw Mr. Nalin there is something called RTI ,a very powerful tool given by the Congress to the people. We can get data about how much was granted. When, where and how were the grants were utilised. After all it's our own money that these politicians keep bragging about. Let's give chance to a new face and if he too doesn't do well then let's show them the door. Time for a change.

Development by now everyone is overwhelmed with the 10year still under construction pumpwell flyover. Maybe when Nalin gets his forced entry into margdarshak mandal, he may have the chance to cut the ribbon for pumpwell flyover, if he continues to win election.

Hinduism means voting for a Hindu, Mithun Rai also a Hindu, so has RSS and BJP outcasted him from being an Hindu already? So tragic.

we very well understand that the majority Hindus of India will most likely support politicians/parties who will keep up to your religious sentiments and Hindutva ideology......and at the same time the rest of the minority communities may vote for the other political parties again based on their religious sentiments....but irrespective of whom we vote , lets not forget that religion does not help in earning a living with the exception of a few ordained priests....well i hope you all agree that most of the politicians irrespective of which party they belong , consider becoming a Govt. Servant only for power, fame and wealth. I request each and everyone of you to ask yourself, why are we forced to vote someone who is not qualified or capable to be a Govt. Servant. Don't you think we should ask for a change in the system of how Govt Representatives are elected ? We must ensure that only the qualified ones get the respective govt posts. I find it really stupid that a Defence Minister can be Finance Minister overnight, Railways Minister can become a Health Minister, etc etc. Does it not prove that these Ministerial Posts are only honorary posts for power and fame without any substance?

28 years of winning the constituency continuously and they are still asking votes in Modi and the party's name, naming a barely educated candidate who can't even speak on behalf of his constituents in Delhi, but is ready to set fire to his own constituency. Achche din surely. I hope people put an end to 28 years of arrogance and tyranny

And least bothered about Development... it's really sad that Religion is mixed into Politics, Especially BJP Stands first in this Type of Politics... These 10 Years Nalin Kumar was only elected, on the basis of Hindutva. Or else No one would

The number of people in the meeting itself shows the lack of enthusiasm among BJP party workers to campaign for him since individually his performance is low. Usually there will be a wave of supporters as what we saw during assembly elections last year. I heard his speech. He just kept repeating Modi Modi... Being a MP for 10 years and still using somebody else’s name to seek votes rather than his own achievements and performance is utterly shameful.

Please keep Hindutva at every Hindu home, which is safe.
you nautankis only think of Hindutva and Ram temple only during elections....

Once elections are over Hindutva and Ram temple disappears....shameless people
This time people will reply....forget about votes

Come up with growth plans. Come up with creating harmony not creating taileless bhajaranghis…..learn from sankat mochana hanuman the value of bhakti...don't misuse his name and attack innocent people.
You bring bad name to Hinduism and also spoil the name of our region in India and overseas.
