Mangaluru, Mar 23: The men’s football team of St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), won VTU Mangaluru Zone Football Tournament held at NMAMIT, Nitte on March 21 and 22, thereby getting selected for VTU Inter Zonal Football Tournament at Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumkur on March 24 and 25.
On the way to this feat, SJEC won their first round against Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal, quarter-finals against Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Konaje, semi-finals against Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodabidri and Finals against Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Valachil.
The management of St Joseph Engineering College is proud of this achievement and congratulates the football team and the department of Physical Education on their outstanding efforts.
