Mangaluru: Fire in residential apartment at Bejai, no casualties

Mangaluru, Mar 21: Fire erupted in a residential apartment in Bejai on Thursday, March 21. As per earlier reports, there was no casualty.

The fire was spotted in a 7-storey building near Bejai market.

Fire Brigade from Pandeshwar rushed to the spot.





Some witnesses said that the fire came out from an apartment on the 7th floor, rented by some students. 

Short circuit could be cause of fire, said a Fire Brigade personnel.

    Fire safety audit should be carried out in all multistoried buildings. From the pictures it looks like this building has huge cracks, as if there was an earthquake recently,, so the structural stability should also be checked.
