Udupi: Tree falls on DAR building, two personnel injured

Udupi, Mar 21: Loss of over Rs one lac was reported after a tree fell on the District Armed Reserve Force (DAR) building near Chandu Maidan on Thursday, March 21.

Two DAR personnel sustained injuries as a consequence. They were said to be sitting under the tree at the time of incident.

The incident took place at around 11.30 am. The tree, which was on a private plot, next to the DAR building, came crashing down. Four toilets and other parts of the building were partly damaged.

Four electricity poles also were uprooted due to the incident. Two bikes parked under the tree were also damaged.
