Karkala, Mar 20: “Hebri should become the ‘Completely Corruption-free’ taluk in the state of Karnataka. In addition, it should be a clean, beautiful and developing taluk.” This unique prayer was prayed and oath was taken in front of Lord Sri Anantapadmanabha.

‘Hebberi, Hebri Taluk’, book written by Shekhar Ajekar, senior journalist, founder of Hebri working journalists’ association and district Rajyotsava awardee was released on the occasion and also music was played in reverence of Lord Sri Anantapadmanabha. Many eminent persons of Hebri were present on the occasion.]

The book was released by H Bhaskara Jois, president of Hebri taluk Rachana samiti and Neere Krishna Shetty, Hebri taluk Rachana activist.

Speaking on the occasion, Neere Krishna Shetty said, “Shekhar, who is a resident of Ajekar had published a book earlier about the taluk of Hebri. Now, when Hebri is declared as a taluk, he has written this 150 page book about Hebri through hardwork. With a view to making of record, this is a amazing attempt. The thought of making Hebri corruption-free is a marvellours idea of Ajekar and let us make this dream come true within a year.”
