Mangaluru: St Aloysius ITI holds ‘SAITI Got Talent’

Mangaluru, Mar 19: A special programme intended to give an opportunity for the students to exhibit their talents on stage ‘SAITI Got Talent’ was inaugurated on March 16.

Dheeraj, an alumnus and an artist was the chief guest. He is a well known actor who came to lime light through a famous Zee TV Kannada show ‘Comedy Kiladigalu’. Currently he is actively involved with Tulu drama and films. Inaugurating the event he said, “This institution nurtured my talents and helped me to find my true calling. Life is all about the choices we make. Learn to say ‘Yes’ whenever an opportunity comes your way. Do not be just spectators, but be performers. The
institution is giving you a wonderful opportunity through this programme to showcase your talents. Use it successfully.”



The programme was presided over by Fr Melwin Lobo, director of the institution. Addressing the students he said, “It is a new initiative from us to encourage the students to come to the stage. Every individual is unique and gifted. Do not try to copy others, but have your uniqueness. It is more rewarding to be unique than being number one. Today is the first episode of this programme. We would like to see many more students participating in the coming episodes”.

In the beginning, Alwyn Menezes, vice principal extended a cordial welcome. Students presented various programmes and exhibited their talents. Results were announced by the chief guest and some tips for the betterment were also given to the students. Umesh J A, convener of the programme rendered the vote of thanks. Robin Vas, junior training officer compered the programme.
